380 WAS MY BIGGEST PAY DAY.
The money that I won so much that the bookies were not able to pay me in a day but guess what? It takes the bookies good 5 days to pay me my winning including one of my old school friends. We had money we never expected…. We had money like dirt. It all started on Friday, 1st of August when I hit the 275 in Chicago which was my carrying number for $2100 and that was indeed cocktail money.
On the 2nd of August which was the following day, Nick dream he was driving a self drive car (Rental ) with the license plate # 87 , So we box 087 three times , That bring us some $2100 each, It was our cigars money for the long holiday weekend.
The next day which happened to be August third, there was a lady who came by and said "I don't play lotto but today is my oldest son Birthday he is 38, how you play that?" I reply saying 038 and 380 putting the 0 in the front and back. Nick answer" You think that coming today"? I said hell yea, we both put $20 on 038 and 380 also box it three times for $18. It was around 10 am that morning and we were just getting started to play our numbers. An hour later, Nick asked if I think that number is coming. I reply with astounding yes, so he asked me to go and put another $20 on 380 for him "that's how I like it" he said. I replied, "Well if you want $20 on it, I want $20 on it too". We both jumped in the car head about 1/4 of a mile to the Number house, and while we were pulling in, the Taxi was pulling out with the big 380 license plate on it.
I said "Like Hell you Preach" I will get mine too. Nick says he want $40 on it straight, no more box that's it 380 is coming straight. I add an additional $20 to mine which make it to be $40 more riding on 380. My heart start beating fast beyond my control, I started to calculate the numbers $700 x 60 =$42k plus it was box 6 times, which was another $4,200. So now, the time was passing very slowly, it was the longest 3hrs I have seen at that time. We both keep saying isn't long now, and with less than 20mins before the house close for Florida, one of Nick old pal came by crying saying how he just spend $380 to fix his Car.
What did you say? I asked Tony with a surprise tone. He replied, "Man I just spend $380 to fix my Car" We jumped into the car to get our last chance to buy that number. I put $15 more, while Nick put about $23 more on it, then we drive back to the tennis court and waited a few more mins. So now the moment of truth has come, I pick up the phone to call home. I was so afraid to find out, I ask my wife, "Honey what was the last number?" she pause a few seconds not really understanding what I was saying. I repeat my self, "what was the last digit?" She said 0! I said well, now what was the second digit? She said 8! This sound GOOD! I'm getting very nervous so I asked, what is the first digit? My wife replies 3! Our big pay day has come through 380. I rake in $56.600 and Nick take home just over $62k. The bookie told us to check back on Friday, that He need a few days to put our funds together, and by Friday I won about $65k and they were the days I will never forget in my life.
